First Roll with a Pen D. I’ve got a few Olympus Pen half frame cameras but only two I use regularly. My Pen S (1960 - 1964) & My Pen FT (1966 - 1972) This is the only version of the Pen Ds that I own. The original Pen D was introduced in 1962 and ran to 1964. It’s basically a Pen S with the addition of an uncoupled selenium light meter. The meter on this old thing is still working and still reading accurately, I love selenium light meters (when they work!) This was my first walkabout with the camera, an afternoon in Seattle. I learned that it has an interesting light leak that I probably need to do something about but it was a fun little camera to spend the afternoon with. I still prefer my Pen S but I can see myself using the D again!
