Two Prakticas - II The BX20. The BX Series was the last hurrah for Praktica. There were 4 versions, this being the first made between 1987 & 1990. 3 versions followed but all production stopped by 1992. The solid metal body was replaced with some kind of hard plastic. The M42 screw mount was replaced with a Praktica PB bayonet mount and an “Auto” or aperture priority mode. It was a last attempt to catch up with the Japanese cameras that were so popular at the time. Not many lenses were made for this new bayonet mount so an M42 Bayonet adapter was also sold with the camera allowing for the use of any M42 lens.
