Notes | The first Olympus Six cameras were released in the 1940s. In 1950 the Olympus Chrome Six series was released with this model, the Chrome Six III being released in 1952. The camera has an internal detachable mask that allows for the taking of 16 6X4.5 photos or 12 6X6 photos on a roll of 120 film. The cameras came with either an F3.5 or an F2.8 lens. Sometimes referred to as Types A & B respectively. This is an early model as the serial number has the prefix No. in front of it. In 1953 Olympus introduced a new numbering system beginning each model again at 100001 without the prefix No. |
